Postscript. Letters to live for
A postscript is a personal written note, added to a letter that has already concluded. In our case, it is a facilitated writing experience producing an impactful letter that contains your precious stories and anecdotes.
This document is a reflective milestone that you can add to every 5-10 years and have as a rolling testimony others can read to know and understand you better.
We work with people curious to leave a written legacy of their stories and life lessons. We reflect and capture your stories so they don’t remain untold. You might come to us directly or via one of our vision partners, helping you prepare today for a better tomorrow.
We start with some written clarity questions and then follow up with a detailed interview which might be in person or online. From that consultation, we draft a letter that captures the essence of you; what you love and the anecdotes that comprise your unique story. Once signed off, the letter is printed and stored securely electronically.
At Postscript we value MEANING and your ability to articulate it.
We know that TIME, PERSPECTIVE and EMOTIONS can cloud your message.
By having a facilitated letter experience, we remove the hesitation, self-doubt and bias that often comes with DIY letters.
No malice, payback, vendettas. This service is one of goodwill, to inspire and spread joy not pain.
Our writers are professionally trained to help you clarify what is meaningful to you; what you stand for, love and have learned so far.
These words can live beyond you and have the power to comfort and entertain.
At Postscript, we balance the weight of this responsibility with the lightest touch of humour, so your message lands delicately.
Louise is a professional writer and qualitative researcher. She specialises in helping people share what’s important to them and capturing, articulating and recording it in a way that others will absorb it.
Having had her own experiences with loss, she reflected on the meaning and sentiments her loved ones would have written if they had had one more day to share their insights. This process is the outcome of that exploration.
With a Double Major in Communications and Major in Marketing, Louise spent 10 years in qualitative research and draws on these skills to help others understand themselves so that they can share their thoughts and reflections with others.
An author herself, Louise’s first book, The Pink Hard Hat (a woman’s guide to money and life) was released in 2018 and she is in the process of writing her second book.
When she is not writing and speaking, she can be found running with her dogs or drinking tea (or bubbles) with friends.
